Oulton Park Gold Cup

For a number of years we have had the pleasure of an invitation from Dave Morris to join the Supercar Display on August Bank Holiday Monday. Sadly this year it has been decided that with all the current guidelines etc it is not going to be feasible to have the display, so if we want to go, I am afraid it is open the wallet time - unless one happens to have an Oulton Season Ticket! I do not know if anyone fancies going - on the assumption that the Gold Cup goes ahead.
As Doohickey said on my birthday, "another event bites the dust"!!!!

I sold the mustang 2 weeks ago , the whole point of it was to take it to shows and drive it across Europe, last 2 years we had 4 holidays in it , this years may Spain/ France trip got cancelled , it's pretty obvious any foreign travel isn't happening this year , who knows what's happening next year.

Won't you have taken a bit of a hit depreciation wise, I would have thought it would now have started to level off as you enter year 3, and you have sold it?

worked out about the same as having a mid range SUV for 2 years , I was intending to keep it at the end of the 3 years but it's hardly moved since last year , nothing planned for this year after the may french trip got cancelled so it would've just sat there until next summer.

I got it at a very good price on 0% finance so I'm OK with letting it go , the way CV19 is panning out I can see foreign trips being a problem right into next year

Quite surprised you can actually go at all. Everywhere else is no spectators though I suppose even when it's busy, you aren't that close to people.

Its only the premier events that are no spectators , at OP that's superbikes and touring cars , people were moaning about it but they're the only two events where it's three deep all the way round the track, even if they limit the numbers people will congregate at the best spots
