I chased passes yesterday and was told they were posted on Friday???

They agreed to send me a second one, so if both arrive in time I will bring them with me on Sat and Sun in case anyone is declined entry to the orchard.

Note thunderstorms expected in the SW on Sunday but only a 20% risk of rain... best have a brolly in the car.

Could I possibly take you up on this offer please - I didn't bother getting a pass for the special Italian car parking as I thought my car would not be ready in time but had a call from the garage today to say it is all done :tomato10:

I got mine a week ago, but then I did speak with the PR Director as I totally confused myself on how to get one.

I'm really looking forward to meeting you all, prepare yourselves for a barrage of questions about Gearboxes, Clutches, servicing etc etc etc.

Yesterday was rather wet, cold and cloudy with no competition until after 1:00 ish.

However after that it warmed up nicely and a sun tan was received.

Not sure if we will be down today... morning forcast has 70% chance of rain, but we may pop up later.

We took a chance.... drived up was in a monsoon from Bristol to the event. Saw the lunch time cavellcade then rain again.

So back to the 4x4 boot up and had our picnic in the shelter of the tailgate.

AfterNoon was a scortcher.

Saw a dirty GS a Merack couple of Gibbers and a daft sod trying to drive his up a wet field!!.

We went up on Saturday in the GS. Didn't have an Orchard pass so was directed to park in the hilly field adjacent to the course. Enjoyed the day, was great to see the Chiron, Veyron and La Ferrari in the flesh.

When we left we had to attempt to reverse up the hill out of our parking space and the GS wasn't really playing ball on the long, wet grass. Spent ten minutes trying to gently get out of the space before eventually managing it. The traction control seemed incapable of understanding wheelspin in reverse gear! I would imagine quite a few tricky moments for those who braved it today after all the over night rain.

Sorry I missed you on the Saturday Safrane (Forum was down?) but managed to get some free tickets anyway from a friend who was at the event - thanks for the kind offer though. Nice to see the La Ferrari and my son loved getting to sit in it! Missed people in the orchard when I went through so sadly did not catch up with anyone - and missed the 4C which I was eager to have a close look at! Similar experience when I was parked on the hill though once in 'ice' seemed to be no problem - worried about my clutch though! Also got catching to the people doing the hill climb - plans for my old BMW Mini Cooper S to get some post-daily driver use me thinks....

I have some photos to attach but they are too large according to the site so not sure how to fix that.
