Sorry the Maserati is not going to be back from repairs in time. I will attend in the Aston. Will it be OK if I join you and park right on the end of G3 or G6?

Thanks

I see no reason why not my friend. There are usually a few vehicles beside the gazebos/tents beyond g3 anyway and I would suggest that as the best spot if you want to be with 'the guys' or email Richard at the Stroke Association as he sometimes has reserved spots for 'interesting cars'. Could everyone else leave this space clear please.

OK guys,

Nothing more to report from the organisers so go for it!!.

Weather looks reasonable too, wind inclined to be a bit chilly though.

Check list:-
Don't forget to print off your tickets and take them with you.
Hopefully bring your blurb sheet so that the public can learn a little about your car.
Please leave the end space nearest the Strawford centre in block G3 vacant for the Aston Martin.
Just a suggestion to park in starboard echelon as in previous years.

Wishing y'all all a wonderful day and absolutely gutted I have no transport to get me there :( :( :(

Where are you -can we not pick you up

Thanks for that kind thought Scaf. :)
I'm a bit out of the way except maybe for anyone travelling south on the M5 prepared to divert through Gloucester.
Small village called Yorkley on the edge of the Forest of Dean about 20 mins each way from the Chepstow M4 bridge.

You sound to be well prepared buddy, hope you have an enjoyable day.
I'm so tempted to get into the GTV and risk it but I value the engine (grey import with no history) so it's not worth the risk.
Hope you have a safe journey and, yes, BIAMF would be good.

Well, that was a very chilly morning! We had to keep dipping in and out of the cafe to warm up after each short stint standing by the cars... The atmosphere was however very pleasant with lots to see and do and with the awesome background noise of cars speeding around the track. It was also great to meet and chat with some fellow forum members (Dean, Steve & FIFTY - a pleasure to meet you all), I look forward to future events!

Yep - properly chilly this morning but always good to meet a few more friendly faces.

Have to say for a supercar Sunday I would have expected more supercars and as it was a charity fundraiser it would have been good to see a bigger turnout.
Certainly more cars / owners than visitors.

Lovely spirited drive home in the sunshine

Good to meet you guys today. I can confirm the breakfast was large and it was mildly chilly. Drive back in the rain for me from the M40 which proved interesting!

Pete - sorry you weren’t there I had plenty of burgers and sausages in case - a chilly BBQ but a BBQ none the less was had and enjoyed- Merc parked in shame by the fence!

Ah, I thought I was imagining the gas canister on the grass behind the Merc... Good effort if you did get the BBQ on the go! I must say your profile pic isn't much of a true likeness ;)

Well it's unfortunate that it might not be a repeat of last years record breaking event.
Seems that the chilly weather may have put spectators off after our long hot summer.
FYI - We had quite a few showers and a heavy snowfall up in the forest about lunch time.

:) :) Thanks to all the forum members who took their shiny Bellas along to display to the public, many from far away.
I'm hoping some one may have taken pictures?

Mr Muppet, Ah!
Did you not detect that he dons a human mask when in public places? :)

I guess the takings will be down compared with last years all time record
When the organisers give us feedback I will post it in due course.

Hi Guys n' Dolls,

A squawk from the organisers-

Dear Car Clubs

Thank you so much for braving the bitter cold on Saturday and helping make Supercar Saturday such a success. We were aware that the cold did keep the huge crowds away but we still managed to raise just over £11.8K. I hope you all managed to warm up well afterwards!

It is thanks to events like this that we can continue to help stroke survivors and their friends and families.

Hope to see you all at next year’s event.

All the best

Amy

Not too bad considering _ :)

Mr FIFTY Thanks for the photos, nice and sharp.

Is that all from our forum who attended? Thanks to those who did.

Mr Muppet. My thanks for your thought of bringing xtra food, sorry I dared not risk it (not the sausages, the car!).
Duncan is going to do all the GTV belts tomorrow IF I can find his premises.

Lets hope that next year has better weather :)
