Good morning everybody, if you're still in bed, my advice is to stay there. It's bl00dy cold out and it's only November!

You're welcome!

Midlife's right, it is sodding cold. Still, it's a beautiful morning. I'm spending it traveling to Heathrow and then down to Madrid for the rest of the week. Mostly work conference blah blah but a dinner with two friends, ex-colleagues from the last gig, on Thursday, which I'm looking forward to.

Wishing you all a bountiful Tuesday.

Morning all. Not actually sure what is in store. Work I guess.

Bit chilly out, with a thick frost first thing, so much so, the driver window on the Jag froze and wouldn't open. All the others would though, which is a bit annoying.
Opening the door to put the security code to get into the car park was a bit of faff!

Well yes. For a start, how does it take a year to learn how to swim?!

How much is it costing right now? (of course you don't have to answer that!)

C

We had Joseph in a thing called Puddle Ducks from when he was a couple of months old, just so he gets used to the water, doesn't panic when he gets wet and learns what to do if he fell in etc.
And he loves it.
The only thing is its costs £14.50 for 30 minutes. Plus £2.50 parking every Saturday. So almost £900 a year.

The local Leisure Centre have something similar but it only costs £18 a month. And the parking is free (you can claim it back if you pay by DD).

Massive difference for effectively the same class.

Technically it isn't swimming lessons, but he is only 2. That will come in a year or so.

Turned the day around; couldn't be ar$ed to go out on site in the cold frankly... So having an office day instead, mostly trying to find competitive insurance for the Mas.

And a rock feels no pain;
And an island never cries.

It's not just down there , it's everywhere, I started driving for a living in 1990, if you set off at 4am on a Monday southbound for Birmingham the road was pretty empty, now it's like 7am used to be.

By 10am the roads were pretty empty , now nose to tail traffic all day, I look at all the cars and wonder where are all these people going, they can't all be driving mobility cars, does nobody work anymore.
