Alas I’ll be abroad this year so won’t be able to make it. I’ll think of you all when I’m crossing the Alps... oh wait, no. I probably won’t
Have to make sure I remember my corkscrew, then! We will miss the two of you!

I have already spoken to Dave Morris and let him know that unfortunately, I will be in Dakar (Senegal) on a client project from 25 - 29 August. So Terry, on this occasion, I will not have an opportunity to meet you and your wonderful neighbour as we did last year.

"Oh winged raptor"!!!!!!!! The erudition of us in the NW knows no bounds!

So what is happening on Monday? Are folk meeting at Lymm and then trundling to Oulton, or - as there are so few of us - are we going straight there?

Incidentally, I e-mailed Dave to see if he would prefer to put tickets in the post or to give them out on Monday. I have not had a reply. Has anyone else? If he is going to give us the tickets at the gate then it is going to make it much easier for Dave and for us if we all turn up at the same time.

Dave has posted my tickets out. That's his preference but it might be too late to rely on the post now especially if he hasn't responded.

I'm relaxed about which we do although it would be better for us all to arrive together so we park together. I will stop at Lymm for a coffee anyway and was aiming to be there about 8.30/45 and then set off around 9. That would mean the Riverside c. 9.15am.

We will be at the Riverside at 9.15 and look forward with the keenest anticipation to your arrival!

PS An update! Since posting this, I rang Dave to see what was happening. He is happy that we call him when we get to the gate and he will bring tickets for those who do not have them. I didn`t ask whether that was a ticket per car or a ticket per person!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am 50 / 50 at the moment but really hope to be coming along .... and have 2 questions:

1 - is there somewhere convenient for those of us coming from the South to meet? And at what time?
2 - will there be any restrictions on leaving early if needed? (ie will our cars be in a display area that prevents exit?)

1 - Dunno!
2 - Leave whatever time you like, no restrictions what so ever. Last event some chap turned up in a 32 just in time for the first parade lap and then left straight afterwards!!

We work on tickets for the driver and a passenger. However, I tend to over estimate the number of tickets so there’s always enough to go around. I’ll tell Dave we need 10 tickets for 5 cars so that should work out well. If you meet at Lymm services from say 8.15am, leave Lymm at around 8.55am, pick up at the Riverside at 9.15am to arrive at Oulton by 9.30am traffic permitting. That usually works well.

Thought you were on holiday, Benny, or were you booked on Ryanair?
