As regards to who got you drunk, I think it was the general bonhomie. It can be quite intoxicating.

I genuinely would love to join you lot again in 2020 But I have not had a great 2019 career wise and with another job move ahead of me I am keeping the extravaganzas to a minimum for 2020
I hope to join you in 2021 with the new hypercar class and a co-driver - the other issue I have had is finding another willing victim, sadly i don't have many petrol head friends

Dans doing the Classics this year and will return in 2021 for the Hypercar series.
To get the discount we need 20 cars, we will simply drop Waynes and not get the discount.
I am happy for one hotel on the way down and do more new stuff as we won’t be battered and collapse.

Yes... I mean, no. You're right... I think.
Giving it a break for a year to allow my love for it to return for 2021 and the Hyper Car series.
Although, seeing as it's an even year, the classics is on so I'll be going there instead. Possibly with others from here as per the thread on here, or even on my own if that doesn't pan out. As you know, I'm happy to head off on my own and do my own thing.
My thoughts are to do something completely different from the usual format. As above, depending on the research being done by others on here, possibly joining them. Or alternatively, doing my own thing; staying in Le Mans itself, enjoying the restaurants and nightlife and sobering up at the circuit watching priceless cars bashing into eachother in the early hours.
And no doubt heading off to Spain and/or Portugal, either after the classics or as a separate trip to stretch the legs on the rebuilt Lotus (surely it'll be done by then!!!!) And get a bit of sun.

Our gites are all ready pre book although it looks as we may drop Waynes next year.
I am happy to do Bernay on the way down (its been a year and we miss it) then straight to the gites.
We then have the option of staying 4 days and leaving straight from the track to a hotel mid way on the way back (or Samur) or we can stay 5 days at the gites and go back as usual.
I favour 4 days (its enough) then doing a hotel to make it a bit different. Cherbourg is very nice so that would mean we get a full day and no rushing about.
The beaches up there are amazing.
