So I have decided to sell my Chimaera 500 first independently from any incoming car to trade into. It is going to Bespoke Performance, Ware (the old TVR Centre, Arkley) next week for an annual service, checkup and MOT. Also to likely be left there for a SOR sale in their showroom.

It had a full very comprehensive body off restoration in 2015-2016 by Steve Darvill @ SD Autotec. Pretty much new or rebuilt everything short of a full respray. New interior, new loom/cables/hoses, full chassis refurb/repaint, new brakes, suspension. Full V8D engine rebuild and strong upgraded engine rolling road tested @ 317bhp at the wheels. Diff/gearbox rebuild. The list goes on and on. I understand the restoration costs were not far short of £20k.

Lots of pics detailing the restoration here:

If any one is interested in a sale direct at a lower price before it goes to Bespoke let us know. Or it will be at Bespoke to look at from next Monday onwards.

A couple of quick pics:

How much do you want for it?

Or have I missed that bit?

I have to be honest it seems very hard to try to value. Not really much around to gauge it against. Open to offers but from what I can see in the marketplace and what I know of these previously I would say late teens seems about right.

Any ideas?!

I wouldn't have the first clue of how to price a TVR. (or many cars for that matter).

Being realistic I would say about £17k is about right private sale pre Bespoke retail SOR

Good luck with the sale, small market especially at the moment, and almost winter.

Thanks, yes indeed small. I think at the price with the major restoration works and being a 500 it should stand out a bit more from the regular stuff enough. We will see.

nice motor and glwts, probably would sell better during summer though

I agree normally but might not matter so much on something like this. You don't often see example's like this come up so often especially a 500. It would make no difference to me when I buy if I were looking for something like this. Time will tell.

very true, but there's always that numpty that uses any excuse to knock a seller on price

a Good luck with the sale buddy....Have you decided what to replace it with yet.....Thought your name may have been on the 46k Stradale........I also know you are partial to a Bamford Rose Vantage. See there is a 2015 car with full BR upgrades for sale at 47k also......Low miles, face lift car with 470 BHP.... Seems a good price for the year and those upgrades aren’t cheap.

Good Luck with the sale Dean.
I for one do enjoy reading about your wheeling and dealing.
That Vantage looks nice just needs more pictures.

Agree Phil...Not the best advert but I would have to take a look if in the market as that’s probably up to 10k of upgrades.
