After 16 years of working in the motor trade (Peugeot; Fiat; Alfa Romeo; Bentley; Ford; ***) & getting totally fed up with manufacturers red tape and dealers negativity, I set myself up as a courier. Been doing it for over 3 years

I own and work in a fine art foundry. casting bronze sculpture for artists.WWW.faberpyropus.co.uk.
might interest you Bigdar.

Dear oh dear
My post was a jokey way of telling the good people of SA that I'm a builder (fired clay you see, bricks), it looks as though jilly got the wrong end of the stick and you followed :$
My work has been described as art before though ;)
Well, abstract anyway, does that count :D

I'm a Health and Safety Manager in Aerospace for a company called RLC.

We make turbine blades for all of the airbus engines Pratt and Whitney and Rolls Royce.

The Plant in NI also makes Martin Baker ejection seats but that is top secret so no pictures of the plant or product.

The plant I work in also makes airframe parts for the JSF another bit of top secret stuff, sounds exiting but it's quite tame once you get through the security checks.

The heavy handed obsession with health and safety is the bane of many a working mans life.
It unnecessarily forces contract prices up, which in turn forces the working mans pay down to compensate.
There is a need for health and safety undoubtedly, but it's gotten beyond a joke TBH.

Sorry, that's border line mini rant

I too worked in the aerospace industry for 11 years, served my engineering apprenticeship at aerostructures Hamble.
Before changing to the construction industry.
