Christian Lewis Performance Cars - Open Day - 28th October

Ahhh, the passenger seat motor...I had had the same problem and Ed spent a good half day getting the motor out, cleaning/re-soldering and then getting it working again. Guess these things will eventually end up needing to be replaced again.

Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Verde (aka quattrofrommagio) is here!

Iain, although my wife very rarely questions what I spend the money on (as I can nearly always justify it), I still cannot get away with telling her 'Who earns the Money around here?'!!

    Northamptonshire owners meet?

Now that I've dusted the covers off the GS (and given it a proper run out over the weekend) and it coinciding with some nice weather, who's up for a run-out?

Alfa Gta with the Selespeed gearbox?

My 156 Selespeed was nothing but trouble. I bought it as a 3 year old (back in 2001) and I think I spent as much keeping it running as it cost me to buy. The gearbox was a complete pain in the ***. But what a looker (at the time) and it was a joy to drive whenever it worked properly.

    4C as a daily

Ok, just so that I understand correctly, no one recommends the 4C as a daily? I didn't think it would have been but better to hear from actual owners.

    4C as a daily

Can any of the resident 4C owners comment on having it as a daily. Looking at the 2nd hand market, they all seem to have low low miles which makes me think that they're weekend cars but if I was going to spend £40k+, I'd want it to be a daily.

    Giulia diesel on lease!!

Central Vehicle leasing have got it up at £220 + VAT, currently enjoying a £110 discount. Perhaps Alfa are trying to flood the small exec market with the diesel Giulia before the premium models hit? Read that there will be a 'Veloce' model sometime next year, which will sit between the two...

    Giulia diesel on lease!!

Petrol is £370 + VAT for the smaller engine and £680 + VAT for the Quadrifoglio. HP/finance lease may work out cheaper depending on anticipated residuals but then you need to find a big deposit. My 430d goes back in April and so I'm tempted to get the Quadrifoglio as my next car but also have...

    Northamptonshire owners meet?

It was a very nice run out, excellent routes which allowed some rapid driving and met a couple of new faces. The Italian car show in Sharnbrook was also pretty good, some nice ferraris and Lambhos and some nice maseratis once we'd turned up!! No pictures unfortunately, we were too busy...
