Gonna come off the meal list because we are going up there the night before and seeing most of you up there. Kids will be shattered so we will get out of there quick smart on the Saturday to get home in time for a Curry! :D

Any more for the meal?

They are opening the place early for us - we have sole use of the carpark and the restaurant when we arrive...

For the 5th year in a row, The Joiners Arms has kept the Michelin Bib Gourmand status.

Drew, I have passengers now on Saturday so I'm going to have to cry off from the meal, a darn shame I was looking forward to it too! Sorry about that, maybe next year...

McD & KFC mostly so I'm not wasting a Michelin Star on them also they want to be home early evening.

Fair enough - doesn't have a star though, just a bib gourmand, much more accessible and less fussy food.

This is my younger daughter who won't eat any kind of potato unless it is a chip sorry 'french fry' and a lad she is bringing along who is rather 'confused' I think is the best way to describe him. I am however reminded of the Wheatus song Teenage Dirtbag every time I see him...

:)

I used to have Bez as a brother in law. I know about confused... His sons (my nephews obviously) are nice lads though :)

In case anyone is thinking it's a fancy place, with pretentious food, it's certainly not. Just a pub serving really good quality food... Although I can recommend the licorice panna cotta with blackcurrent sorbet ;) See? School dinners...

When and at what time are you meeting for the meal? I'd like to join, if free.

Aren't "when" and "what time" the same? We will be going straight from Brunty so will be there between 5:30 and 6pm - it's only minutes from the track.
