And my car is a 3200 and no badge, and yours is a 4200 with the badge.

I know but I think if I remove the badge and then fit the stripes I can refit the badge over the top. Just been out and had a look, I have a later facelift bumper and grill and it looks like it is held in by about half a dozen torq type fixings. I will go and have play tomorrow and do some measuring and test fitting to see what works and what doesn't. If nothing else it will keep we away from the children for an hour or two

New SM discs and yellow stuff pads fitted all round. It's a really good combination and I reckon they are going to be the best they've ever been when fully run in. Even the handbrake works without dragging and only goes up 5 notches to fully on. Happy days!

That's whats on mine along with Eagle AS2 tyres it really improves the braking much more bite and some serious retardation. When we were doing some hard brake tests at Milbrook the other week even the instructor (a Porches man) was impressed. You still get a fair bit of dust but lots less than the previous versions of yellow stuff pads

Ok Andy - you know what you have from Mav. The stripe material reacts well to heat - so if you remove your badge and then apply the stripe material in that area and apply a little heat, it'll mould into the recess nicely. Same for anywhere else that has multi-dimensional radii.

When you come to remove, just apply a little heat again to soften the adhesive.

Having said all that, I personally would not apply any adhesive material to paint/lacquer as young as yours!

Not over worried about the new paint, it is only a temp measure to make it presentable. It will be going in for a proper respray over winter so if I decide to fit the stripes can they can stay on it until then. The front bumper will need to be stripped right back anyway as the original paint seems not to have keyed properly which is partly why it lifted so i doubt I can do any further damage.

Hmmm... I'd be inclined to stripe around it Andy, far easier then all the faf of removing it. If it has been off recently then chances are the foam behind it has already been removed and you will be able to access it with the grille removed.

This^^^

You will end up making a mess. The emblem is stuck and bolted from behind too. When you undo the bolt it just spins then you end up having to dig through the front of the badge with a chisel, its not worth it, cut round it Andy.

Always amazed at how much you can get in a Maserati Spiders boot. Test pack completed, all my camping gear, tent, bed, sleeping bag etc plus tools, tyre inflator and gunk all fit in the spare wheel well. Leaves the rest of the boot free for camping chairs clothes and the co drivers stuff.
