4C Delayed

Posted this on my EVO thread but just in case some of you who have deposits down do not read it....

They have put the launch of the critical new Guila mid-size saloon back by at least 6 months as the CEO Sergio Marchionne said the styling didn't pass his 'gut instinct' test................What this does now mean is that the 4C will now be put back until 2013...

He said the Mito and 8C are clearly Alfa Romeo's...The Guila at the moment could be any car if you take the badge off...His words were...If you take the badge off it could be any boring German machiine.....Good to know there is still passion at Alfa, but not so good for all of us who have a deposit down for the 4C...

They also say the next model to come out will be the SUV in 2013 before the saloon and the 4C...

Delayed?? Im gutted.......4c should be coming out theres nothing wrong with it, delay the giulia but not that

What he is saying Dem..and I quote.........................While the 4C, the small mid-engined coupe that debuted in concept form at this years Geneva show will still lead off Alfa's US charge, its introduction has been delayed until 2013 to minimise the time it will have to wait until thecavalry arrives in the form of the Giulia, the updated Guilietta and the company's upcoming compact SUV. The wait for the Giulia will weaken Alfa's range in its European heartland too and will also delay the arrival of the Dodge and Chrysler version that use the same architecture.

Just wondering...what numbers they hope to sell in the USA...may well find the Chinese/Russian/Indian markets are equally important in just a few short years!!!!

See thats what bothers me with the 4C...Stunning and should be brilliant...I say should be as they are aiming it for the American market...That is a concern.

2 years away Dem......Some may re-think I would imagine.....I am going to follwo closely before I decide what to do.

With my situ im thinking or hoping itll be out quicker as i would like to sell my dep if i csnt buy the car

Dem, a year away is OK but two years is a stretch too far for me I think......

Look on the bright side Dem, the delay will mean the people behind us will have to wait even longer, making our car positions worth even more, every cloud and all that!
