Seems alot for what is a re bodied 4200 spider.

Cant deny it is utterly lovely though.

Ahhhh... the Alfa Romeo 8C Spider.

Recall reviews saying dynamically, it rides and handles better than the 8c tin top.

Shame they never produced either in RHD.

For mine, still right near the top of the heap in terms of desirable Italian exotica.

If you buy one for around 150/170k I'm pretty sure you will not lose any money on it.....Thats if you don't put 100k miles on her....Prices have been pretty stable for 3 years or so.

Rare enough and good enough to hold their value. I actually prefer it to the Coupe, I think it has aged better.

Couldn't believe the price of that one when I saw it advertised.

But if someone wants it enough, and can afford it, then I guess they will buy it and everyone's a winner.

There was a Bianco Fuji 8C spider on the Whalley-Settle run on Sunday. It was as gorgeous as they always are and it's a car I would buy if I ever won the lottery. I'd still keep my spyder as well though.

Agree Benny, if I had the pennies ot would be in my dream garage. Such a pretty car and would imagine you would never lose money on them....Well if you buy one at 150k/170k...Not sure about the DL one but then it is delivery miles by the looks of things.

Love them and the coupe, see them as a Alfieri concept car myself.

Like many low volume cars, they only have strong value if you don't use them so they are increasingly becoming just pieces of art. That is a real shame as it puts pressure on people not to use them which, ultimately, makes their existence as cars questionable.

I've a client with a lovely stable, a 458 Speciale convertible, a special edition 911 GT3 RS, and a Huracan. He doesn't drive any of them, probably less than 300 miles p/a. He's certain that all 3 will be worth far more than he paid for them but only if they are very low miles. That's £700k worth of cars in the garage that you can only look at. Bonkers!
