I assure you Adam, it will live up to your expectations! Even now it isn't dated to drive... so well balanced, so fast, so revvy! Had the UK press car (it was even yellow!) for a while, amazing machine and a certain future classic. Tone of pace, not intimidating at all, looks have aged VERY well and as reliable as any other Honda. What's not like. Thing like the Senna connection, aluminum chassis, 9k revs jut make it more desireable!
3.2 V6 manual targa for me with Mugen exhaust and induction. Not the purest due to lack of roof, but the most useable for me.
The noise is one of the main attractions Lewis, how can Honda make an engine sound that good without any fancy/trick exhaust system. In terms of looks, i think it still looks fantastic today and like you say will be a future classic if anything, it is a classic now. RE the Targa model, i quite like the Targa, nothing like open top driving. I would not go for an Auto as it is a full auto model, it is not connected to a manual transmission. Prices seem to be going up as cars in the UK are so rare so i think your best bet maybe to try and track down a good example for sale in Japan as they are more popular over there. Yellow is my 2nd fave colour, my dream NSX would be in Imola Orange pearl.
So question is, facelifted or pre facelift NSX? for me, facelift, think it is slightly better looking however, they are fetching big money.
Pre facelift cars.
