The American car market is in much better shape than the European, and Alfa Romeo has noticed. Though there are no exact numbers of the demand yet, it is now known that the number of orders has risen significantly. So much so, that it is even threatening to turn into a logistic nightmare. While the total of delivered 4C's in the US is nearing 100, the number of signed order sheets is several times higher already.
FCA has therefore decided to put the sale of the 4C on hold for now. Even people willing to pay extra money will not be given the chance to put down an order for the forthcoming period, so says CEO Reid Bigland of Alfa Romeo North America. Whether Alfa is considering increasing the production rate is not known, but the good news is that the Milanese brand is not shy of attractive force across the pond. Which is a good thing, considering they are planning to release several new models on that market over the next few years.
