I heard from a reliable source that, as well as having the Ghibli engine, it will also use the same platform. I wonder which bits will be non-Maserati?!

Not sure where they are going to find the 520 horses from ... the stock engine is rated at 320 BHP.

I personally think that is better looking than the Ghibli, my only issue is if it is based on the Ghibli chassis and engine (which I don't doubt for a minute) why would anyone buy the Maserati???

As much as I would like it, I can't see an Alfa getting a Ferrari engine - that would blur the marques too much, and surely put the price well out of the reach of most Alfisti?

I agree. Ferrari arnt happy at their engines being in Maserati so to go down another rung would cause some serious Italian arm gestures.

Seems a bit of a strange article ... a 3.8 litre V8 isn't going to let loose 530 horses without a pair of blowers attached to it. And "the performance will be better because the model will be much lighter" seems like complete and utter speculation.
