Oh wise ones, the time has come to part with my beloved due to miles covering, economy and practicality. what do we think to these, thought i'd ask the experts;
........................loving them all Andrea......................lots of oooommmppphhh....and style.....never mind the renown reliability that Alfas now have!!!
Have to say I agree with Matt 100%. That interior is nice - glad someone pointed it out - but the exterior... well, lame is exactly the word for it. I guess it's all EU-legislation - there are only so many ways to skin a cat these days. However, I still can't quite forgive Alfa... seems sacrilege to resurrect the name of the iconic Giuliettas of the late 50's / early 60's on something so... well, frankly ordinary-looking.
Also, this DNA system they have been pushing has not been well received by the auto press. I had it in the Mito loan car I had and it felt very detached.
How about a GT, they are great cars, failing that a 159 Sportwagon, black with tan leather, pick one a year old, you will save a fortune and try and get the TI spec.
i hear you guys, it's been my exact quandry.... i took out the Mito, thinking i don't really need anything bigger, and looks a great little car, the DNA switch is a little curious, but you can imagine when i turn up in the 911 -t he salesman thinks i need 'something' The interiors are great in both, still to drive the Guilietta.... hmmmmm
I have not driven a Giulietta, so no comment on drive etc...
but I like both the exterior and interior, you have to try one Andrea and see how it feels...
Id go for the brera...i know we slate the engines but a brera s could be had for 15k or a plain one for 10k and you can have diesel or 2.2 and even the 3.2 V6 if you fancy the power...best looking alfa in years...
Andrea, I love the Guilietta but I think Adam said the lower engines one don't look much but the cloverleaf ...think its the cloverleaf...Looks lovely. Plus I do think they are colour sensitve ..... Mito is stunning to be honest but not driven one .... Brera is to die for but the only one to have is the Brera S 3.2 Prodrive as Dem mentioned as the others are a real letdown..Engines not good and far too heavy .... After the Porsche they will feel very underpowered ..... The thing about the 3.2 S is that its such a lovely car in the bends ... The others are not...You could go 2.2 S Prodrive as the handling is the same but well under powered....
Save yourself a packet and go GT or GTV with Alfa's best V6 .......
Or I wouldn't blame you for this .... A bit expensive by a grand ot two but whats not to like ..
