Nice one Andy and what a nice Mrs Zagatoes you must have
Surprised there wasn’t any cigarette ash in the original paint, knowing the Italian’s!It was really hard to get a number of various shades of red to match the factory look
Actually the paint is really good but most of the effort was getting the shoddy panels that Alfa fitted flat. The amount of filler and paint Alfa used to end up with normal SZ ripples was shocking, 9 coats of paint on the bonnet alone.
All the **** was removed, right back to the base and then all inconsistencies were removed to get a super smooth panel to accept primer and paint. Time and effort in preparation was demoralising at times but it paid off on the finish.
Another 'Fugly' Aston...........I had forgotten about that one!
WOW!!.............Deserved a better wrapping than that! Not Zagatos best I agree but this one had a 7.0 V8, it made the ground shake on tickover and sounded awesome when the throttle was opened
Not far from me that
what a naff ad for a "zigato"
