I have managed to snap off my wing mirror. W*nk!!!!!

oops!!! how did it happen?

I reversed out of my garage as usual, but forgot to turn the switch that pulls the wing mirrors in. I am now on the hunt for a powerful glue that can stick aluminium.

not familiar with the parts involved Pics? I use a guy that can fine weld aluminium let me know if I can help

I have a friend coming around this morning to take a look, he is very good at this type of thing, and can weld aluminium.


Waking up this morning when the realisation had set in about what I had done, it was like waking up to realise your wife is shagging your best mate! Not that that has happened, but I can imagine the pain!

I had the same thing happen to my Alfa GTV, well, sum ***!!*** kicked it off for run, arghh!!!

Anyway, tried to glue it, bond it, gave up in the end. The only thing you can do is take it to a specialist ali welder, most tyre place know one as the puddle fill alloy wheels, and get them to weld it.

Mine lasted till I did a tonne, then the wind just ripped it clean off.

All fixed. A friend managed to weld the broken part. Such relief!
