Me neither, but the owner of that car spent around 30 mins on the Maser stand talking to me about selling that GK and getting into a Maserati :)

How strange, I don't recall speaking to anyone on the Maserati stand regarding selling my car!

Close, Bertone house and the first design by Giorgetto Giugiaro at the age of 21, built in Southampton

As I said "by the likes of" I knew it was a Giugiaro design but didn't know if he was working for Bertone or Italdesign then. Still a good looking car nonetheless.

There was an interesting article in Classic and Sports cars on the GK and also an editorial on how and why the firm collapsed.

I think most sports car companies collapsed in the 60's - just that some of them were lucky enough to be rescued by people rich enough to throw money at them. Most of them still failed...

That you did Sir.

There were some fine looking machines on the Maserati stand I must admit, the whole show was a thoroughly enjoyable event!

Always loved these cars, nice colour too. Seen a few of the 99? total built, inc one at Haynes museum.
Which Maserati would you have, if in theory you were swapping the GK?

Maserati have a great range in the toy box but if I had the choice it would be the Quattroporte as a daily driver but on a wish list is a 3500GT or Mexico, not that I have plans to part with my GK1

The Haynes car was at the 50th event, ironically as a non runner, I don't think they have a manual for it :)

Yes 99 + 1 out of bits left over.
