Just wondered if the general trend of Lambo's owners is to continue within the marque to own a 2nd of 3rd or whether its a dream to which many aspire , but the expense and impractability deters them from continued ownership of future models , cant say i know too many people with Lambo's full stop, but i know do know a few,but never heard of anyone who owns two or has had conesecutive models

do you remember that guy i brought with me to ace a year ago??

he had a gallardo and sold it to buy a 997 turbo....speaking to him about it he says he just buys whatever good car is out at the time...no loyalty to a brand
after the 997 he went into a f430 then an r8...gives you an idea

your right i dont know anyone who owned a lambo that bought another one till atleast a few years after....they dont change their models as often as others to be fair....

thats a detailed opinion from me aint it??

Interesting thought

i think i know of one guy that comes immediately to mind and that's Diablo Pete - i think he frequents PH who has a couple at a time... Angelis is friends and would know more i'm sure.. Know of a few owners who have been sold on the marque and stay loyal, I met a guy at the weekend with a murci who changes his car 6 monthly jumps from model to model, though when talking saturday was quite taken with an F car in the showroom..

It and Ferraris are more trophy type cars, not daily drivers or remotely practical in many ways......beat your chest type cars, pose with them........dream cars that people aspire to own just once........

Pretty much as i suspected, very few loyal owners to the marque , more of a fleeting dalliance marque i would say

he must lose a lot of cash if he changes car every six months!

oh yes.... more than i'd be comfy with, takes a long time to come my way, i don't wanna let it go so easy...

You're right Frank - Many different owner experiences and reasons here - the 70's posters on boys (and some girls) bedroom walls have a lot to answer for i think partly ...

...everyone likes to live the dream for an instant or a bit longer.............only the super wealthy can buy them new.........the rest of us just gawp in envy or wishful self delusion...!

Thankfully these guys do buy new so the rest of us can eventually enjoy the most wonderful cars in the world!

the lambo cars have always been loud look at me cars and people want 1 in their life...not like masers or astons where you can be loyal to the brand be cause they are a pleasure to drive everyday...my neighbour had a bentley spped and now bought an LP560 speaking to him about his lovely black number he tells me its a "mad" buy as he was bored with the bentley and is waiting for the new aston db9 or bentley gt to come out...that says it alll

well either way, didn't think it would be on sale for another 3 years, the new Murceilago will be amazing, 7.0 V12, 700 bhp but £300,000

well the first Murceilago was about 150K, LP640 about 180K so this is a big jump but it is good value compared to an SLR and Zonda etc.
