Nick,
Mileage does seem to make a difference in selling value, but if condition is good and history, you should be still able to command a reasonable price when ready to sell. She does look good I must admit.

I don't know anything about the 348 but I did have a F355 F1 Spyder for a couple of years (around 10k miles) and it was very reliable and great fun. It had the same F1 pump issues that early maserati's had and the exhaust manafolds needed to be upgraded but otherwise it was pretty bullet proof.

Hi Nick, when you bought the 355 what else was on your shopping list at the time, and what made you buy it?

Hi Paul,
I had sold the 3200Gt and didn't want to buy another Maserati straight away. Gallardo's were to expensive for me at that time so I was deciding between a 360 or a F355 and I've never really liked the 360, which only left one choice and I had always liked the look of the f355 spider so that ws what I had to have. Which was good. I would not buy the same type of car that I had bought before but as there arn't many cars out there that I really like at the moment that arn't way over my budget Ido often think about another one occasionally.

Cheers Nick, so what is the next car on the shopping list?
Plus, are you going along to the Bristol AutoItalian event??

Hi Paul,
are you and Pauline going to Bristol ?
I have a confirmed place for the Bristol show but I may have rented out the Bristol flat by then so Ellen and I could be staying in the Grand.
As for my next car I was going to get either a QP or Conti Gt as a second for the extra motorway mileage I will be going from Sheffield but now I'm not sure.
Grancabrios from £69k are still to much so it will either be hang in there with the Spyder or Change marque. Probably hang fire makes more sense.

Hi Nick, I will be there but on my own this time as some of Paulines family are staying with us and going to Lego Land, which is local to us.

So, billy no mates! But really looking forward to the event, registered, offered my services for the marshalling so up bright and early!

See you there

Ferrari 348 was a nearlly car a bit like the 308GT4. I remember at the time the press hated it. For me 355 ticks all the boxes and is worth the small difference over a 348. I have to admit though the 348 is a pretty car

I was with a 355 around Scotland for 2 days last year but couldn't hear it over mine. Personally, I would much rather have a 360 spyder,

Yep I have to agree with you there,

There was a comment in the article that said the side grills were a little Testorossa like, which if it floats your boat then hey, got for it!

Take the side grilles off the sides and rear and it starts to look like a 355, which is better.

Paul ,Forget looks thats purely a personel thing ,I'd be interested to know whether it handles and performs better than the 3200 or 4200's otherwise it could well be a step backwards ,

regards loz

Yep, good point,

I am going to continue to look into this 348vs 355 and hopefully there will be a couple 355 and 348 owners at Bristol!
