For the Friday evening meal in the centre of Modena, we have a booking with a splendid restaurant on the main Piazza. They have produced a cracking three course menu for us, as a fixed price meal, including wine, water and coffee. When I booked it, I anticipated around 40 people attending - we have more than that booked on the trip, so could everyone who would like to join in on this please indicate yes/no by adding their names to the list which will hopefully grow below. The restaurant have just asked me to confirm and firm-up the booking, so I need names sharpish please. Whilst I have a healthy appetite, there's no way I can eat 40 meals if it's just me...
Maserati Centenary Tour menu: (this is the same menu they've created to be served to the high-rollers that Maserati have invited)
First course:
Pumpkin ravioli with cream of porcini mushrooms, bacon chips and balsamic vinegar
Second course:
Roast veal with prosciutto and figs and bouquet of mixed vegetables
Sweet:
Opera cake (chocolate cake with raspberry sauce, chocolate mousse, Bavarian cream coffee, chocolate icing and raspberry sauce)
The food at this place is superb...
Drinks:
Water, coffee, wine (Lambrusco, Sangiovese, Chardonnay - 1 bottle for every 4 people)
Alternatives for vegetarians will naturally be available.
This runs to € 30,00 all in, sitting outside under the canopy facing the square looking at our Maseratis if the weather is nice, indoors if it's not.
