Had the same thing with a bottle of wine P...ordered one at E45, and they billed me for E125, fortunatly I had Sophie on my side and got the pricy plonk at the same price...nice drop though.

The end??? This is just the beginning Frank, the first of many SM road trips!! Love the frequent small yellow renault references too...

I desperately want to drive the Route Napoleon again... I may well nip down later in the year for it if any other takers?! September time...

Great write-up Frank, thanks for taking the time.

What a meal in Clermont Ferrand, foie gras for 2 courses! And the Etoges attempts at making me a Martini were worthy of rememberance! Never in the field of Martini drinking, we're so many bad cocktails made by so few...

Happy days!

Well worth seeking out the 396/996 as well Lewis. Might have been influenced by the weather, but I enjoyed it at least as much as the Route Napoleon. Lovely twisty stuff and all but deserted.

I'd say so too Miles....but France is full of semi deserted roads, well cambered, surfaced and twisty......heaven....:)
