I have just got back from HR Owen and was flying the flag for Maserati in a sea of Ferraris. Unfortunately, the only Maseratis from here were Paul and me. There was a another Gransport which came via Pistonheads and I have invited him to join here.

Well, I had a fabulous time and firstly want to thank Harsh for inviting me and HR Owen for laying on great hospitality with good food and having their staff on hand to answer questions.

I got to driving a black Granturismo abeit a 4200 and not an S, but have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. It did not feel as big as it looks. It rides much softer than the Gransport taking speed bumps in its stride. The noise is fabulous and I can only imagine that the S version is awesome.

Happy to say that the Ferrari hooligans led by Harsh with their fancy exhausts were duly humbled when HR Owen kindly fired up an Enzo which had the back boxes removed......my ears are still ringing from the noise :)

All in all a great day out.....pictures to follow

Hiya - the black GranSport was mine and here I am! It was a good morning indeed. I learned a lot, had a couple of trivial issues sorted and an alignment check. I also had a go in the GranTurismo, and agree that it's not as sharp as the GS. I didn't like the very thick A pillars at all!

It was good to meet you UM - who else was there from here?

Dear All,

I thoroughly enjoyed the event, if only my local hospital was as clean as the service areas (Only Joking!!)

Good to catch up with Urban Maser and meet the staff & service technicians, especially William who owns a 3200GTa himself.

All of those who I met at HR Owen were very polite and friendly.

I was disgusted not to win the raffle held at the event, surely it should of been given to a Maserati owner as there were so few of us at the event. Mind you, it was a Ferrari watch!!

More of these events by dealers should be organised, well worth it in terms of them gaining new contacts and us meeting them.

We are hoping to organise another one later this year.

Hopefully we can get more Maserati's coming along on the day.

PS. We forgot to hand out the goody bags at the end, so only a few owners got them. Those that didn't get them, the reception staff know who you are so next time you are passing, please drop in and they'll hand over the bag.

Big Foot you have not even the slightest idea of how loud that Enzo was..........think of the loudest exhaust you have ever heard and multiply by 10 and you maybe half way to how loud this monster was. Even though we were expecting it, we all jumped out of our skin when it was fired up......even now several hours later and my ear drums are still hurting.

Goodie bag had a fancy bag with oil in it, a bottle of windscreen wash and a Maserati Cap (not to be worn when driving the Maserati unless you want to look like a complete plonker :) )

I could have fancied the Timex watch with the Ferrari logo..............I would have preferred a voucher offering 50% discount on a new Granturismo S :jpheart:
