Alpines are classic cars. Love watching them on historic rallies.
The new one, looks like it has escaped from the Disney film 'Cars' !!

Well I'm home!

What a trip! Thouroughly enjoyed every minute of it (well, ok there was a couple of days that could have been better ;) )
Starting in Portsmouth last Wednesday meeting new friends, the journey to Le Mans, the MILF with knockers, the waitress with the phenomenal (natural) knockers, the mad little bar that we drank dry, the racing, both on and off the track! Showing off in Arnage, and of course the great company. Only to then carry on down to the sunny south and touring around, and finally the road trip home.

Definitely put me down for next year's Le Mans and the following year's classic! I'd strongly urge anyone going next year to encorperate tagging a holiday on the end of Le Mans. Fly the family out to meet you somewhere or perhaps a few of us to continue the fun..?

Cheers to Matt for organising the first part of my trip, and to all the rest of you that made it special. Over the years I've done a fair few trips and stuff through forums, but this ranks as the best so far :D

Can't recommend it enough for anyone else considering it for next time.

Glad you enjoyed it fella, and your down for next year, that you can be assured of.

What we are doing it offering automatic places to the people who came the year before as next year we are going to be over subscribed.

We usually go with a completely different group for the past 6 years but they have dwindled but I am sure a few will be up for 2013, plus I think a few more will make the trip next year. I don't think anyone at our house this year said no to 2013. Of the 10 that came this year, we have space for another 4 at Pontvillain, plus Benny and Ryan have already put down for next year so thats 12 already.

We have another 4 birth cottage just up the road with a guy called Wayne we have used before so we have room for another 6 so anyone seriously thinking about this should PM me sooner rather than later to bagys your rooms. We also have another guy called Alain in the village who can house another 4. Both the other dwellings can either have breakfast their or as one commune at the Gite.

My personal thoughts as a classics virgin is the 24hrs is the better track experience, but the Classics does have much less traffic. The 24hr track was better as their are more people, plus the fun fair and Le Mans radio and TV screens everywhere plus no stopping between races.

The weather was poor this year but you had to laugh! (my brother still smiling and just taking whatever the French can throw at him):

The social side of things this year, coupled with some very hilly barmaids, was one of the best to date and it was great to meet up with Loz and the guys at La Butte.

So, only 10 and a half months till Le Mans 24hr, put your names down if you wish to attend, max we can take is 22:

1. Matt
2. Rosie
3. Martyn
4. Graeme
5. David
6. Ken
7. Dan
8. Brenan?
9. Nick
10. Chris?
11. Benny
12. Ryan
13. Tom
14. Lez
15.
16.
17.
18.
19.
20.
21.
22.

PS, not had a smoke since coming back after nailing it hard that week!
