It was a fantastic outing, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

It was great to meet you all, your cars are fantastic.. the sight and sound of them being used on track was awesome.

I too had knackered front tyres, I managed to get them changed in Cardiff on the way back North.

On track I was 7.8 mpg.

Thanks for making me welcome and for all your efforts organising things.
Cheers

Glad you had fun all.......Really good day and the weather held off.........

Thanks to Ben and Chris for letting me loose in their pride and joy on track..........You are true gents...(hope I didn't **** your tyres too much......)

Manage to get back to Chepstow and get two new fronts fitted before they shut....My fronts were like slicks.....Such fun.

I didn't know it was possible, but I think you bent one of my tyres...

...only joking, but now I understand what graining means : )

Oh, and it was a pleasure being driven round by someone with actual ability - shows me what my car is capable of if I can only get some more control. I was taking the long fast turn into the back straight a lot faster after your "lesson", so cheers all round both for the day and the drive.

Good fun all round I thought! Though I realised yesterday that 15 minutes of being a passenger isn't the best thing for my stomach!

I got what I think are a few good photos and vids though. Will have a good sort through this weekend and post the links.

Personally I'm impressed Matt that you made it there at all given the lateness of the hour the night before..!

Cheers

Had a great day on Friday, fantastic to meet everyone, and thanks to Andy for organizing it. I was pleased to get my car on the track and get a sense of what it could do, I could feel myself getting progressively more used to the power and handling of the car, which is what I really wanted to do even if I was comfortably the slowest driver on the day. Many thanks to Simon for driving me around the track and showing me what can be achieved when you have little compassion for your tires or compunction to personal safety, or indeed that of your passenger! It was brilliant and I learnt a lot about how to drive fast around a track:crazy:

Irasema and I have just got back from Wales...I know it's two days after the event but we made a weekend of it in South Wales being complete tourists and stayed in a very nice Hotel just outside Hirwaun. Irasema would like to thank the very nice young lady who took her for a spin in her blue Lotus. (Can't remember her name but she was bloody quick!). Got some photo's to upload if required but we had a great time and it was good to meet more guys and girls from the forum. just need a new front left (as does everyone else!) and for what its worth I got 7.1mpg on the track. I don't think kit can go lower!

Gents, now you have had your fun whilst I was at work, serious question...what's the track like? Thinking of getting a performance track day for thengirlfriend, 5 super cars, would be interested to know if the track is good enough or would I be better going farther afield?
Cheers

Llandow is very small and not really suited to SUpercars...Lotus is perfect for the track....Its good fun in a Maserati but when Dan took his Lambo to Llandow it was just to fast and powerful for the track.......

Martin, it was really good to meet you and your good lady again..Twice in 3 weeks..........I'll pass on your thanks to Susie in the Lotus..She can certainly drive a bit and shows that a mrk1 Elise is all you every need at Llandow.

So I took a few photos and vids - my constant objective being to try to get pictures which show a sense of movement. You can see from the photos here that some were more successful than others:

I shall attempt to link the videos here (don't laugh at my panning skills please!):

Screen grab from the first of your videos, Ben. Looks like my suspension could do with being a bit stiffer when I'm on the track! : )
