Enzo...you are going to be famous.....A few Lotus chaps are with us at Llandow and are talking about the day on Seloc....Just one of the comments below...

Llandow event

hello, is it ok to come along but not take part in the track driving, I have a 3200 which I'll bring along, I am assuming it's Thursday 26th, steve

A few changes to the cars coming...

One of the guys is bringing a Mini Cooper Works and other is bringing a Porsche 968 Clun Sport (great car)

Oh and our instructor Mad Chris has decided what car he will be bringing...M3 Track Car.

Andy, must admit, I have been trying not to look!

I have 2 Peltor helmets, one for me plus I have a spare large if anyone wants to bagsy it. It must be looked after as they are not mine, they are not mint, nor shabby.

Oh, and just so I get it right, can we have the meal details and times, plus what time is everyone planning to get to the hotel by? 6.30?

Was going to post tonight but here goes.....

How about...I will meet all at the hotel at around 08:00....I will then get you down to the meal for 08:15 (meal booked for 08:30)....I have kept a list of what every one wants so don't worry if you forget what you have ordered.....If you are going to be at the hotel early and want to go for a drink before the meal just let me know what time you all want to meet me at the hotel...

You need to be at the track for the brief at 09:10...Gates open at 08:00 so anytime after that..

Just a few reminders....

Long sleeves must be worn on track
Helmets - obviously - Can be hired.
Check you levels - oil etc - and tyre pressure - Sorry if I'm teaching to suck eggs.
and fill up before you leave as you are going to use a bit of fuel......Reserve fuel on the way to track as I know what its like in a convoy of Maserati..Take it easy until one speeds up and before you know it you are doing 6 mpg....

Cheers fella, looking forward to it. I am going to try and be at the hotel by 6.30, I am coming a long way and in rush hour, its got to be 3 or 4 hr drive for me.

Just checked, to NP16 5PR (the hotel) is bang on 3hrs so add an hour for traffic, and not far off.

where is the nearest petrol station to the track Andy ?, would hate to get there low on fuel.

I'm not sure..But you come off the M4 then travel along a duel carrage way for about 4 miles or so. You then come off the duel carrage way and end up on a large roundabout - Culverhouse Cross...There is a Supermarket, M&S I think, off the roundabout and a pertrol station...Track is about 8 miles form the roundabout I think.

There may be one closer but you only go through villages so I wouldn't take the chance...

Just one more thing...Someone asked me if you need your driving licence...Don't think so but got me thinking...I would make sure you all bring yours just incase...I know at Goodwood you had to show it but I don't think we did at Llandow but better be safe than sorry.
