It would be beneficial to have a list of those not planning to travel down to Modena with the forum group, but plan to stay in the same hotel with the group, just so that we know how many are in the drive from the UK to Modena..??

Hi All,

I'm a bit lost with this. Can someone help!

I will be going to Chamonix, or somewhere similar, for a few days - to go for a few decent walks in the Alps. I then plan on meeting up with people.

I'm not sure what the plan is - is there are day by day plan to get to Modena? As I may need to catch up.

Robert I've already emailed Matt, but I'd like to stay with everyone in Modena. I would need a double room.

I will be meeting at the hotel Friday night, as we will be staying in the south of France the week before.

Ross, there's is a trend here (from the MC experience) that the guys meet in the UK and they all take the ferry to France.

If you're earlier in the Alps, then maybe we can arrange some Alps walking together, as i'll be coming from Athens a few days before the event.

We will leave Calais probably on the Tuesday morning that week, then take a total of 2.5 /3 days to drive down to Modena, arriving mostly on Thursday evening. That's the main group, then we have others coming in from various.
This will have to have some flexibility for the moment, we attempt to make specific plans in the new year and announce those to the forum as soon as we have them..!!

Works for me. I will probably not leave the UK with you, instead meet in Modena.

I can't really call the whole trip that, seeing as the rest of the holiday is car themed. But for a few days in the Alps, maybe!

- will already have QP at our place between Geneva and Chamonix, so will meet somewhere enroute. UNLESS Susie buys herself a Maser next summer (which would be roofless), and it is still in UK, in which case we WILL drive down with everyone.

At the moment there is a tentative plan for me and Frank (fcz360) to drive down through France and tear up the Alps passes for a couple of days en-route. So you can put us down as very possible to meet you guys down there.
