Far out as in "bloody miles away from where I live", for some reason getting to the likes of Peterborough, Cambridge and Norwich are so slow due to road layout and I can get up to Newcastle or Leeds in the same time!

I think there may be some OC members also going along, as Jerry from the club mentioned it in one of his emails. I won't be able to make it unfortunately.

I might go over. Depends how long it takes to drop a 3200 lower front wishbone. And what frame of mind I am in when the job is done.

Maybe I will go in my QP, carrying the cracked wishbone. Now there's a topic of conversation, "Cars , coffee and cracks"

Be good to see you there Rob. Doubt I'll have collected my QP by then, so will be in the Spyder.

Lancaster Colchester is doing a similar thing on Sunday 8 March, 9am to lunch - cars, coffee and a BBQ breakfast.

Excellent little meeting at Marshall Maserati yesterday - we arrived at 10:45, expecting Blu Elettrico in his GT at 11. At that time, we were the only visiting Maserati... They'd catered for probably 100 people tipping up, so bacon butties were being handed out like confetti! The coffee was good, and the cars in the showroom were an excellent selection - pretty much everything there except a Stradale.

After 15-20 minutes, people started arriving, and it turned out we knew most of them! Jerry Hutton from the OC came in his spiffing red Sebring, followed by Miles and Lisa, then our GranCabrio driving neighbours from the next village - OC members, but not forum users.

Had an interesting chat about the financing of the cars, during which it became apparent that Tim Edwards, the 'Brand Manager' there had come from Audi Huntingdon, and was the very same chap who was forced to bend over with the Vaseline in hand when we bought Susie's S3 from them last year :) Clearly it was a good deal, as he remembers the painful conversations with his sales chap rather well :)

Anyway, there are serious deals to be had on the cars - the sticker price isn't even close to what you should pay.

Very friendly guys (I'm sure they should be) in the showroom, and the first to admit that their service department has virtually no experience on the older cars, but will be concentrating on the newer current models. So, really that means GT, QP6 and Ghibli. In their own words, they wouldn't turn down working on the older cars, but the owner would probably be better taking them elsewhere. Agree with that - they just don't have the experience of what really needs to be looked at on them - most are ex-Honda mechanics from the sister dealership.

They are looking to have a forum face in the near future, so I've pointed them Conaero's way.
