Cheers Andy, that same car is for sale again at the moment but its on a right old state, lacquer flaking off all over and major door dents down the flanks, shame as I cherished that motor.

He does Andy, I have spoken to him again since but he still is refusing to drop from £6k. I have another one I am chasing for £6k, silver with red leather, and in very nice order again 52k miles, its jut been dry stored and needs cambelt and recommissioning.

proteo red is the colour that the 155 and your 145 would have been

Dunno about the 155, but my 145 was Metallic Plum (Alfa's colour name) colour code 497. Its a purple colour. It's much different from Proteo Red.

Zags 155 is proteo, so thought as you had seen the pic you had the same on your 145 I know the colour you mean as well

Newbie to this forum here. My first Alfa (and very first car) was a Sud which was a great little car. Unfortunately it went the way of most Sud's (to the scrappie) but it was a wonderful car. Would really like another (if I can find a reasonably good example of what is now a very rare car).



I bought a S4 Spider last Easter from a gentleman in Somerset. I exported it to France over the summer and registered it there. As it an original LHD it is ideal to drive there.

Is that the same as the Prunga that some 155s came in ?

My Q4 is in deed Proteo Red which I quite like as it doesn't fade like the Rosso Red (or various shades of pink as they end up)

Welcome I always like the S4, you always need to buy a LHD version as the RHD conversions seem to range from poor to absolutely rubbish

I'm pretty sure it was available on the 145qv, 146 and 155.

From an old AO thread, I think it was only available on the 145 qv (not on the 1.6) and only for a year or so before being discontinued.

Proteo Red was available till at least 1997/8 because my first twinny GTV was proteo and that was on an R plate
