I recon the old school way is best where you start at the bottom with the laces equal length and cris cross all the way to the top

It looks neat and functional..

Pain if you need to cut the shoe off, though.

Not a fan of the criss cross look, I prefer the straight across method.

Now don't get me started on missing out eyelets or not even tying laces at all what is that all about ?

It drifted very early on... the question was about knots, but it loosened, unravelled and got tangled up in lacing patterns.. and worse
