Smiffy, I have to tile my bathroom, I have 9mm thick matt porcelain tiles. I have a heavy duty scorer, or a bench grinder type tile cutter.

Any tips, I am expecting them to splinter or should I try and score and snap them???

As long as the wheel is not blunt you should be able to score and snap a 9mm porcelain tile depending on how much breaking force the cutter has. Problems occur when the tile has a grain or pattern on it, the wheel tends to wander and the tiles breaks where you don't want it. Remember score once and break.
