If you are coming on Thursday, try and fly in to Manchester, Leeds, or Doncaster. I will pick you up from the airport if you land in the north, you can stay with us Thursday night if you wish and then we travel south on the friday. Sound like a plan..?? If you land in the south, get a train north and I will meet up with you. You have my number still I think..??

Looks like me and mademoiselle Alecci are out of luck. All the cheap flights are filled, only seats on the expensive ones left. Not sure I can justify the cost of about 600 quid for the air travels alone.

Flying from Gothenburg or Växjö (Vaxjo in English). I looked for flights going to the UK on Friday and back to Sweden on Sunday. Fiancée cannot take any days off, so flight must take off from Sweden at 3 PM or later on Friday. In addition, we must be landing back in Sweden at 9 PM at the very latest.

Problem is that the costs then adds up. Fuel to and from the airport in Sweden is about 60 GBP, animal care about 80 GBP, both hotels in the UK another 160 GBP (no breakfasts included), karting for at least one person - myself - is another 45 GBP I think it was, and then add taxi fares, food and drink.

We're in the process of refurbishing our house, so an excess of 1K GBP is a bit too much for only two days and nights (½ day + night + full day + night + ½ day). For comparison, the whole trip to Paris was about 300 GBP.
