Yeah!! Got the De Dion frame off the 90 to get the blooming bearing retainer removed - it's a nightmare with 6 to 10 inches to crawl under

Morning/Afternoon.

Quite tired today after taking the Spider on her maiden voyage. Ended up at Ace Cafe, did about 200 miles in the sun and pulled off the motorway on the way home and blatted down the country lanes, awesome.

My painter Phil, is going to paint the whole car for a grand cash if I strip the trim, yes please, goes in mid September :)

The car performed really well, loads of power, brakes still a bit spongy and squeak from the OSR suspension, a squirt should sort that.

Oh, might have bagged a Ragazzon rear exit pipe for £100 too, that will make me smile.

Brilliant news :) You get any pics from last night? Seen a few on Facebook, can't see your spider.

Would he be interested in painting my 33??

Going Wizzard exhaust then the car is going in for total respray in September.

Fitted an ariel today too a bee sting type one, it looks ok. It took quite a time to fit as i had to grind the base to get it to sit right one the slopping wing and it was trial and error.

Should get a Infinity one, they worked wonders on both my cars, especially the 33, the free flow is unreal :)

Did a great job of my Q4 as well

90 bearing all sorted and held in place with a circlip - why Alfa did not do this in the first place? image.jpg

The offending retainer

How did you cut a circlip groove or was there one already?

There is a grove between the end of the thread and the bearing already - seems to hold it in perfectly ok so can't see why it wasn't fitted like this as standard.

The new bearing was selected specifically for the vehicle type and was supplied with the cir-clip, nut and split pin
