Just bought tin snips, welding magnets, verner gauge, gloves and a solar welding mask on Ebay.

Getting ready to do some bodywork.

Afternoon.

Yes, the Opel is going the way of the demise of many a classic car and going for a bath in the Acid tank.

I am expecting swiss cheese to come out...well, actually, just a lot of filler on the lower sections. I want to make and weld repair sections as bodywork to this level is something I have never done before. Then when I have done this I am going buy a used industrial leather sewing machine and have a go at making seats and the like.

If I am any good, then classic car restoration is what I am going to spend my days doing in my retirement which is only a little over a year away.

Might get an English Wheel and see if I can make panels to sell also.

Found out last night you can get a whole kingsize bed and a mattress in a 33 last night

Afternoon. Moved the Spider back to the house and put the Opel into my remote lockup.

Now I can start stripping the rear suspention out and fit the polybush kit.

Got a very low mileage unit a 1999 CF2 Nik (32k) with full service book, been sat in the dry for nearly two years but so far I have not managed to blow mine up properly! I could be persuaded to let it go for a couple of hundred. It would obviously need belts etc. It is here in RM1 (Romford).
