Hi Andy, do you have any contact details? Or could you maybe ask him as I personally don't know him and some people are sensitive to be approached

Cheers Daryl

Morning, I am back from the land of the nervous sheep.

No dramas, nearly got stuck in a ford as it was bit deeper than we thought and the Strada Florida was epically flooded, great times.

Good luck with that Nik, mine is still available as a spares or repair!

Got let down by its replacement again today, blew the steering seals again! At least the 156 kept going even if it did have a severe thirst for oil...

The new replacement Mito is great, Alfa found us a good one :)

Have fun all...

Well it had to happen Nik, but no, I am chasing another rust riddled Alfa as you know.

Morning, well, afternoon. Been so busy lately, my posting is slipping.

Any news on that one??

Need somewhere to store if for a couple of years, a barn in the Midlands would be favourite, I can weld and want to learn how to do finer bodywork so this could be the one. This is the worst bit the rest, other than one outer sill is not too bad.

The outer panel does not worry me, it can be had for about £100, its the panel underneath that are not so will have to be fabricated.

We all know too that the rust you see on the surface is only 50% of what has actually set in.

I think was happened was the water got in, in the usual place in these cars, via the fuel filler cap just above. The water runs down and fills the panel and it also ran down into the sill too by the looks of it. Then it rusts from the inside out.

You need to talk to Alex again, you can get whole repair panels for that side brand new, think they are on ebay, Alex actually has a brand new one, think it is a series two though.

Morning all.

Edit I may have most of that, will look in my garage over the weekend......
