You're not allowed to be away, this should be your focus dude. LOL

I hope you have some nice facilities to work in as I'd hate to be working in the cold. Can't wait for more pictures.....

Well...its a double garage jobbie........but as I say Bal...when this phase done passed over to welder for 4/5/6 plus months.......need to spread cost and source stuff plus do research.......the guy who will rebuild the V6 engine has only done 3 of the saloon car in 25 years....but 30 of the coupe version...slightly different engine so getting bits and pieces slower and just as costly

Newton, am sorta committed to doing this.....as always it will cost quite a bit more than budgeted for...but if I spread it out a bit more its doable......it goes inside Friday...then a few weeks work to strip fully before sand blasting

Its then out of my sight for quite a while but hoping to photo the work every few weeks......am new to this am taking lots of guidance and advice

A calm and reasoned aproach is perfect Frank. From my restoring days (mostly motorcycles) it is very easy to get bogged down by single and often fairly insignificant part, headlight cowlings or a dash trim, at the end of the day it all amounts to a fabulous car so patience will win through...

Am building up a missing bits/parts bank as I go......picking the brains of those who've done it before.....pming people, emailing, phoning.......still lots to learn though.

Have to say the contacts to date have been so helpful, understanding and gracious its wonderful!!

It's all good stuff Frank you know we all like pulling your leg.

It's a good approach on what is a rare car. I didn't appreciate the differences in engines between models was so great, but this is what is going to make this a must follow thread for folks who like to get their hands dirty. As you say we're not all made of money and spreading the costs will help not make this another aborted project. I like you have delayed the suspension rebuild on the Khamsin this winter as I wasn't expecting to change the workhorse car and ended up spending too much money. But there is always next year and I get to drive the car a bit longer since all the recent work.

Look forward to the pictures as they start to attack the body as the metal workers craft is awesome to watch. Wish I could do even a fraction of the things they can create.
