Well now, maybe it's a generation thing? but I understand not this reference to beards, is a beard somehow undesirable in the minds of a certain sort of car owner??? Having dipped me toe in the water of that other place, I have to say that in my opinion, there are some very unfriendly and unpleasant people who are apparently Alfa owners?

Maybe it's just forums in general, maybe they encourage a certain type of person with the opportunity to be unpleasant without having to cope with the consequences? Some of the things these people say to others on these forums would earn them a real good smack in the mouth in a face to face situation.

On the bright side, I know from personal experience that there are also some very nice folk that own Alfas, and I have on occasion been fortunate enough to make there acquaintance from time to time.:)

I is very nice, sometimes ;)

I have no reason to think otherwise as yet, but see if you can help me, I am rather fancying a 33 I would like the 1.7 but there aren't any nice ones about at the moment, I missed a nice red one that was for sale in London last year, but I think he withdrew it, (Car and Classics) I thought it was a bit dear mind, and I guess everyone else did too, cos he didn't shift it. What is a sensible price for a 33 in good nick with no rust issues?

Cheers Ray.

PS Nik, just joshin.:thumb3:

Yeah that's what you say, I'll bet you are though!

I have been looking for a 33 for a while now, finding a good one especially a carburated version is not easy, but I think it is what I would like, summat that aint never heard of silicone valley would be ideal, but I don't know if that applies with the 33s? I can't do much with my Spider, except keep her nice and change the oil and filter, drive her of course, I love her to bits but I don't have the skills for tinkering with her really, but I think I would be ok with summat older, and not computerised, but I may be too late, in as much as all those models are now getting very expensive.

I am willing to listen to advice, I am even willing to consider Fiat, I have had them in the past and enjoyed them. I had a Mirafiori 1600 twin cam that I really liked years ago, he was a proper drivers car!, I just like Italian cars, selling my spider to swell me pot has also crossed me mind, but I don't think I would get what I think she is worth if I put her up for sale?

Anybody got any ideas, please let me know, Nick can you PM me that blokes number? I will have a chat with him and see what he has to say.

ATB, Ray.
