Now that the GTV is here, I will be going over it to see what jobs, apart from head gaskets, will require doing.

Fitted some new brighter bulbs yesterday. If i never have to do it again it will be too soon. Drivers side was a bit awkward as you can't really see what you are doing but at least there is nothing in the way. Obviously it started pissing down when i was doing it. The other side was a nightmare, the battery, washer bottle, fusebox & having no room meant i couldn't see anything. The metal clipped came off & in the end after about an hour of dicking around in the cold, wind & rain i gave up & went round to ProAlfa to see if i could use the front of the garage to get out of the rain & do it. Took the battery out & got the clip in & was done in about 5 minutes :). Looks much better too :)

And i got to see the race cars they look after which is always good

Hopefully pulling the gearbox out of my Sele, probably in the rain, dosed out of my head on painkillers.

Sadly that will probably be the highlight of the week.

Ouch!! never had a Sele, but from what i can understand, when they are going right they are fantastic, but when they go wrong they are the biggest pain in the **** in the world :(

Was holding back this (usually a canal & a river seperated by some land where the trees are) -

didn't move my car in the end. id rather it stayed where it was and risk it than park it where i was thinking of. its not exactly the easiest of places for people and theres always mirrors in bits were they've been smashed off cars :(. Walked our dog earlier and its about the same so good in a way, as long as it doesnt get any higher its not a problem :) the river has come over a bit closer to us now though a couple of times but it stops for some reason. theres a stream running down the path between some houses but because they never clear the drains out its just sitting on the road. Spoke to my mate earlier and his mum lives a bit further down where it has already flooded and her house is under 3ft of water at the minute. the wood flooring is floating in the extension they recently had done

cheers nick :), nothing like those people in somerset luckily, must be horrible for them :( its been downgraded on the flood risk now (as long as it stops raining) the water has stopped coming down the path and its not coming any further out ont that bit of grass either so hopefully thats as bad as it will get and it will go away soon. reminded me i need to get the GAP insurance switched over onto this car though as its still covering the MiTo so not all bad :)
