Tickets booked for festival italia - august 13th 2023

So, tickets for hotel (basic Mecure next to the track), event and Director's Terrace (just for the great view) all booked. We'll get there on the Saturday then avoid a super early start on the Sunday morning. Turn it into a mini-break for me and Mrs GP. Got a display ticket but am in with a generic Maserati group I think, as membership for the owner's club has lapsed. I found I wasn't really getting much out of membership, being busy with work all the time you rarely get a chance to go to events/meets etc.

Looking forward to this, what with work it's the first event Mrs GP and I will have been to since Italian Car Day at Brooklands. Anyone else coming along to Brands Hatch for Festival Italia this year?

That would be the ideal. Even though my membership's lapsed I'm sure I'll be back. It's just a case of having the time to put into it to get more out of it!

We’re here. Stayed at the Mecure last night. If anyone is ever considering it, think tired, bit shabby, but practical. Although, avoid the restaurant. Tasteless, greasy, and reheated by 16 year olds…

Well the weather was ok for the most part and I think there was a pretty good turn out with some interesting cars, we were once again given a nice spot which is a bonus and with the Maserati club and individual cars parked together I think the brand was well represented.

Always quite enjoy this event with its mix of show and racing in a relaxed atmosphere. The racing is (for me) not as good / competitive as other events but ok on the whole.

Pity that I did not park up with the rest of you guys, got there a bit too late and was banished to park in the “miscellaneous” area !
