Morning all,
i need recommendations to get the steering geometry seen to. Front wheels scrubbing the inside edges on both wheel. Should I get it done at Graypauls or Shiltech or use some outfit like Kwik fit?
your thoughts would be appreciated.
Cheers

I'm sure most will recommend specialist. I had mine done at my local F1 (who I've used for years) and they did a fine job.

Full geometry setup is where it's at though, apparently. Still saving my pennies :)

Do not go to a Kwik-sh1t or anywhere else that has no idea about suspension set ups. Find a specialist near you that has a Hunter machine and, more importantly, knows how to use it properly. The handling of your car will be transformed, it's money very well spent - especially if you're getting uneven tyre wear.

I need to get it set up properly as I have 4 new Pirelli PZERO SILVER to stick on

then I would have the tyres fitted, wheels balanced and geo set at a specialist. will not be pennies but as said, will save money in long run and you will be more confident it has been done right.

When you check around for someone with a Hunter machine, if you find one...ask if they also have the weights to set the car up, you have to load the front seats with I think it's 70kg each side to do the setup correctly..!! No weights, no setup..!!

Go to a suspension specialist, the best you can find. I go to a guy who sets up racing teams, and I was complemented on how good my car is set up by my Indi repairer who has driven a huge number of GS's.
The guy you go to must have the shims in stock to perfect the alignment. I run Pzero's too.

The best advise right there

I cant recommend going to a specialist enough - I got mine properly set up at Emblem after I replaced the two arms that had cracked. Of the 10 parameters they checked 8 were out and one of the settings that was correct I had set up by eye to drive it to Emblem. They actually take it to a specialist with a Hunter machine but also provide then with a stock of shims. I did try a local hunter specialist but they had no access to the shims and asked me to get a set of shims to cover all eventualities so I didn't bother and took it to a Maserati specialist as they all the correct shims to hand. The resulting set up transformed the handling - absolutely planted in fast corners whereas previously it had been pretty skittish and wearing inside of tyres. (might have something to do with 2 cracked arms as well!)
