Can anyone give me more specific address or post code for the tibshelf services and whether north or south bound as I will be travelling up then picking my father-in-law up from Wakefield and then travelling down to meet up and it has been a very long while since I have been in that neck of the woods.

I would assume that those coming from South will use Tibshelt in Derbyshire. You will pass on way to Wakefield.
You can get back to Doncaster different ways, m1 m18, or I think a635 through Barnsley, or, you could carry on North on M1 , head east on M 62 and meet the guys at Ferrybridge services, which will probably be easier...

According to Mr. Google, the address is Newtonwood Ln, Newton, Alfreton, Derbyshire DE55 5TZ. Probably more helpful for working out where it is... just North of Jn 28 on the M1.
Will I see you there? It's currently only me to meet at Tibshelf.

I'd do this if I were heading from Wakefield. Depending on which side of Wakefield you are there might be a better route to either the M62 or A1 than heading back to the M1.

Tibshelf is a long way out of your way to go to only have to come back.

Agreed - if you're in Wakefield then Ferrybridge is more sensible or go straight there depending on where you are.

I'll let you know later thanks Lads, I'm still waiting for the QP to be fixed as it has been at the specialists for 3 weeks now with Maserati messing them around with the non return valves for the variators, subject to getting it very late this evening, then I intend to leave my home in South Staffs. at 07:30ish and get to my father-in-laws home in Sandal, Wakefield for around 09:30ish.

The Ferrybridge services does look better and I have just had a chat with my Father-in-law and we are going to aim for this at 11:00 as it is only 10 miles approx.

I just bloody hope that the specialists get this fixed in time, they have intimated that I might have to pick it up late tonight!!!

If not then I shall have to come in the Chevy and the noise from that will make your ears bleed :)

I'm calling your specialist now to ensure you bring the Chevy - that would be epic!

Well it looks like it will be the Chevy, the specialist offered to deliver the car back without everything fixed and I said no, lets get it back in one go, so I am frantically trying to get it ready as I have just got that back from the garage.

The Chevy is a 20footer, it needs a respray but sounds awesome, If I am not there for 11:05 then go without me and I'll meet you at the Vulcan as I have the post code.

Thanks Lads, hopefully see you then.

Oh I forgot to mention if we are driving together then don't slam your brakes on as the Chevy has no power steering or power brakes but does have single pot discs on the front :)

Gutted I could not go - great day for it - and I bet you are having a good time now !

The good news is Diane's er "invasion" went well and there is nothing malicious within.

Have a good day tommorrow - if I get time I may pop over in the Passat (unfortunately) and have a chat....

Only in Thirsk so should be do able early..

Excellent visit, learnt a lot about the vulcan today I didn't, and many others didn't know.
Cheers Dave.

Thanks for organising this Dave. It was great to get close to a piece of my childhood.

Also great to meet with some of the people from the forum.

The noise of all the cars leaving was something else.

Great to see everyone, and thanks for organising, Dave.

Halfway home now and having a journey break... On our way from the hotel we were treated to the Red Arrows practicing over or heads. Total goosebumps moment with red, white and blue smoke trails being aligned above the car!
