Prompted by a similar thread on SportsMaserati, what do you do for a job or how do you fill your day if you don't work?

I help design Operational Support System (OSS) software products, solutions and architectures for large telecommunications companies. One of my last jobs was managing the OSS design for Vodafone UK's 4G network. It was a horrible daily commute, a 4 hour round trip - and not cheap in a 4.2 V8! (Though I did eventually see sense and buy an eco-diesel.)

Funny thread this, bus spotters ;)

I have worked in IT for about 13-14 years, currently working as Group IT Manager for a global logistics company, managing infrastructure, building solutions, and managing day to day support for branches throughout Western Europe, Asia and Oz.

I love it, can't think of a job I'd be happier doing, other than fluffing Monica Bellucci

Try Australia better money over there I hear for IT specialists and for out of work miners.
Gotta go where the money is mate

Yeah, but chasing the money doesn't always mean you'll enjoy the job, I love my job so in a way the fact that someone is willing to pay me to do something I love means I can stomach lower rates, I get to chose my own work hours as well so tend to have fairly easy commute.
