Wet handling Rockingham

Does anyone fancy a wet handling session at Rockingham? We had one a few years back and it was very good. According to the Internet, Rockingham's wet handling area provides "a unique controlled environment combining a kick plate, water walls and a polished surface so smooth it’s like ice. This makes it the perfect place to drift and hone your driving skills without the restrictions of cars and kerbs".

I'm thinking hotel the night before (I hate early starts), pub, beer, burger and then a morning skating around like a twot.

Add your name to the list and if there's enough of us then I'll investigate . About 10 was ok last time, from memory.

Is it still open? I've no idea but Rockingham was sold to one of the car shifters recently to store motors and is closed as a racetrack.

Thruxton does something but it's only an hour, or an all-day Don Palmer session for £450.

Somewhere between the two would seem about right.

The challenge is to find a venue as Rockingham sadly no longer exists.

Failing that, we'll just go to a pub.

Yes Brooklands/Mercedes Benz world has one. It's a circle so presumably you get good at drifting in one direction!

There's a wet handling track at Milbrook but not sure if general public can get access, I have been on it a my mate Paul is a driver trainer there with Cat driver training. Had the Spyder at silly speeds on the banked bowl around the outside

I've looked at doing a day at Milbrook but it £WTF.00 incl VAT.
