    Hello Mr 90

Exactly, I suppose I was lucky as I had to go London quite late in the evening so lucky I had cool air to drive in.

    Hello Mr 90

Well I had my 1st breakdown last night, I pulled up with the car overheating, steam was everywhere! So I switched off the engine asap and let the car cool down etc, checked for split pipes and there are all good. So thanks to a lovely old women who provided me with enough water to fill the...

    Hello Mr 90

So today I did my usual weekly fluid and pressure checks, I'm still quite amazed in that the 2.5 12v uses next to no oil! So I moved onto the engine coolant and noticed that it was a bit too low, so I topped it up and noticed a small weep from a coolant pipe...fortunately all it needed was for...

    Hello Mr 90

That's what I did with the 75 and it's what I'll do for this, a removable steering wheel is a great way to deter people from steeling it. That's actually quite odd that, as once when I was moving the car at work I pulled it clean off...que much laughter from the guys :)

    Ooh out for newton's cars

I'll keep an eye out up here around the Stansted area, is there anything distinctive about either cars?

    Hello Mr 90

So a small kinda update today. I've been doing some wheeler dealing and I've managed to bag myself a set of new alloys, now the problem is that I've essentially got the choice of two very different sets. The 1st set are 5 spoke alloys, I don't know what they are but I feel that these would...

    Hello Mr 90

Sorry that I've not updated this thread much, the issue being is because I've literally had nothing to report. Everything is working how it should be, starting 1st time every time etc, for an old Alfa it's being **** reliable!! Thought I'd upload a few photos that I took this afternoon though...

    Hello Mr 90

    Hello Mr 90

I could do yeah, I've wrote letters to the previous owners asking if any of them may still have paperwork for the car too. The main parts which I'd kill for is a new bonnet which is included and in the same colour, but with no rust at all! Essentially a whole new interior, all new window glass...

    Hello Mr 90

I've been forgetting to update this thread because I've got one running over on Pistonheads, which last week made it onto the front page of the site. So here are the updates which I posted there but not on here. Update for you guys. For the 1st time she failed to start last night, finished a...

    Hello Mr 90

Today I was lucky enough to have some spare time and because it's a lovely day for once, I decided to do a few small jobs on the 90. They weren't major problems, just irritation and at times annoying more than anything. The passenger rear door card had come away from the actual door, at 1st I...

    Hello Mr 90

Tbh it's proved tricky because I'm coloured blind heh!! I got distracted and found myself looking individual throttle bodies, as well as Zender alloys....and Ronals :)

    Hello Mr 90

So just a small update this evening. Today was my only day off work for this week, so because I didn't have time to do anything too time consuming I chose to give the engine bay a good scrub. Unfortunately I've got no photos but I spent roughly 6 hours getting my hands filthy in grime, grease...

    Hello Mr 90

Another small update. I've finally found another gearbox, it's the exact same as mine but it's apparently in perfect working order. I'll get it checked over by a gearbox specialist but it should be near enough fine, plus I'll essentially not be paying for the box because I've done a deal on...

    Hello Mr 90

You can say that again!! Getting the engine bay sorted will take loads of time though, although I'm starting to get tempted to not paint anything as it looks used which it is :)

    Hello Mr 90

So just a small update thus far. The window rubber seals which I ordered had arrived last week, after working every day since they arrived I'd not been able to fit them until today. As usual though, the fixes which seem simple mostly always takes the longest!! The replacement seals didn't fit...

    Hello Mr 90

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore Range Rovers but I'm with you on what you said on the 33 and involving you in the drive :)
