    550 Maranello v 612 Scaglietti

I'm not sure if reliability is an issue between the early cars vs the OTO. I have a OTO car and purchased it after trying some earlier cars, for me there was definitely a noticeable difference in how the F1A gearbox felt around town with stop start driving in auto as I sometimes daily mine. Also...

    550 Maranello v 612 Scaglietti

That is cheap …I think. Although not an ideal interior colour scheme but I’m sure someone out there must like it.

Plus revised exhaust I think and ceramic brakes.

    550 Maranello v 612 Scaglietti

The OTO is definitely a better drive than earlier cars, I drove a few early cars due to not wanting to pay too much but once I had test driven a OTO model it was pretty much game over for the earlier cars. Mine is grey but I do keep wishing I could buy the black one at Bramley now.

    550 Maranello v 612 Scaglietti

Thanks Ewan. Will ask a few Indy’s what the cost of the FHP will be as I didn’t realise it can still be retro fitted, as you can imagine anyone selling one without will always play down the FHP as is the case with car I am looking at.

    550 Maranello v 612 Scaglietti

Has anyone in here driven the 575 with and without the FHP? Ideally for longer than a a few days and if so is the FHP worth looking for on the 575? Thanks

    550 Maranello v 612 Scaglietti

I tend to go for the nuclear option….. honey look what I dragged home today …….get the silent treatment for a day or so and then all is good.

    550 Maranello v 612 Scaglietti

I didn’t realise you have had one for 20 years, I would ignore me and my test drive comparisons in that case. Also I never really bothered to look for a manual it just wasn’t something I was looking for. I will probably move into a FF next year all being well.

    550 Maranello v 612 Scaglietti

I had a good run from home to Sports Italia in the 612 recently and although it’s probably just as big as the 550 it somehow feels smaller…. could also just be my rose tinted glasses

    550 Maranello v 612 Scaglietti

Ewan it’s definitely well balanced but for the type of driving I do which is usually stop start I just found the 550 tad more cumbersome. Also repairs/ maintenance bills seemed much higher to me for the 550, not sure if that’s because 550 owners tend to use them less…

    550 Maranello v 612 Scaglietti

I test drove a 550 and 612 and went with the 612 as it just felt so much more modern, for daily driving. I don’t really thrash my cars so for me the 550 needed to be pushed and I would much rather take a call whilst relaxing and driving which a 612 allows but a 550 doesn’t IMO. The 550 commands...

    Ferrari 612 PPI

Having taken the advise above from Felonious I called SportsItalia today. Spoke to Ashley Osborne earlier about my 612 purchase which is from another its not often these days that you speak to someone within the service industry that leaves you feeling compelled to share positive feedback with...

    Ferrari 612 PPI

Guys Is a Ferrari health check the equivalent of a PPI? The 612 I’m after is going into dealers for annual service so wanted to see if anyone knows how in-depth the health check is compared to a PPI please?
