Over the last two years if they didn’t have Helmut and Max they’d still have won both championships and it’s debatable whether Newey has done anything over the last two years either. Of course if Horner had worked for a normal multi-national he’d have gone months ago.

i think normal multi-nationals are governed by the same employment laws and so far he has not been found against. The weight of law has shifted heavily towards employees in the past few years, especially in the EU. Agree that many drivers would have had a good chance but clearly not his team mate.

I don’t think it’s a legal thing or even right/wrong. It also wouldn’t apply to most of us but as the boss of a multinational the “visuals” would have him out on his ear in anywhere else.

Just think about Newey and RB cars, when you look at the “greats”; Senna, Prost, Schumacher, Hamilton and add in Max and Vettel the majority of their championships could be said to have been the car. Even the likes of Stewart, Lauda, Andretti and Clark had arguably the best card under them and a weaker team mate. The only one that springs to mind as having won on diving alone for most of their championships seems to be Fangio as often his direct competition had the same machinery
