No just a black pack, Italian racing red and 19 inch alloys. But then I suppose I am now 50 Martin ;-)

Excellent - similar to what I'm thinking about. There's a black one with the black pack in the car park I use and it looks ace. Talked the wife out of an Evoque then?!

It's. Long story my friend....my order was cancelled due to a take over then reinstated but lost my place so had to wait another 5 to 6 months and wasn't willing to do that so Liz agreed we hadn't something else and as the XE is now regarded as the best Sports saloon in it class and rear wheel drive then I am very happy.

Drove the XE on launch and loved it. Diesel could have done with more power but the handling and kit made up for it.

I think that's called serendipity! Is it the R-Sport 180?

Yes David, R Sport 180....the 163 felt under powered. Having the black and red inside. Wheels are Venoms silver with the grey inside the spokes.

A Ja-ag? Does it come with pipe and slippers?

My XJ oil burner with a remap is a 0-60 in less than 6 secs and still returning 40mpg being all alloy body and chassis it handles a dream and to be honest is so easy to drive you could wear slippers and smoke a pipe - and still not embarrass yourself when up against most cars on the road - including my GTS

A client pitch has crashed into my diary for this very afternoon, plus a trip to Brussels for the Friday. Bad sodding timing. Will miss the pub and aim for the Ace.

Anyone going who's any good with changing the centre-caps on the wheels? I'm rather wary of doing it for fear of scratching up the wheels as I lever out the old ones. I have the new clean and shiny red trident ones living in the boot.

Take the wheels off and push them out from behind. They're quite well-located, so there's a big risk of damage if you try to lever them out.

I am away but land around 3pm on the Thursday and could probably get to the Ace rather than getting dropped off by the driver at home. The problem is getting home unless Adam is coming? or Steph? Or John? :D

Today's the day when the crème de la forum got a fresh MOT ticket, Voicey. I look forward to seeing you on Thursday.
