Hello all, I have been floating around this forum for a few days now. I am basically hoping to take the plunge and become a Masser owner within a year or two.

I am just looking for as much information of the marque and this site is feeding me well so far. :)

I/We own and have owned several Lancia's and Alfa's over the last 20 years. I have a little Alfa spider at the moment. I love driving Italian cars. :)

Well thanks for reading this. No doubt I shall rely on and appreciate your opinions and knowledge of Maserati's.

That's the spirt!
Soon as I find the misterious combination of QP with Nero paint and Ox blood leather.. They are few and far between although i might compromise and do nero leather and deep red paint... but I have my best man on the case!

Most on the forum have a history of owning Alfa Romeo and Lancia cars prior to Maserati ownership, including myself.
It's a natural conclusion!

Welcome Alfatan. I think the secret to purchasing a Maserati (like any Italian car in my experience) is eye's wide open from behind rose-tinted spectacles. Choose the choosable, check the checkable, but don't forget the reason you chose Maserati in the first place. Perfect it ain't; pleasurable it is...in spades.

Hope the forum proves helpful and all the best in your search.

Regards, Miles.

There's a lot of info to be had on this forum its great.

I started looking in March I think, in August I'd made the leap of faith. It's an amazing feeling just owning one, driving one is even better.!

Good luck we are all here to help.

Thanks everyone for your great replies. I plan to take time in finding a 4200 spyder. Its a big deal for me lol. Plus Mike[my other half] will have to help look after it for me! Guess he won't mind as long as he gets the odd test drive lol.

Do it, you'll love it. Fantastic cars; but you have to get a proper loud exhaust to let the full flavour flow. I did and I won't be getting rid of mine any time soon, if ever.
